My 2nd Birthday! (Number 1)

We were able to go to Utah for Isaac's Birthday, so he was lucky enough to have three birthdays!

One at Papa & Grandma Kartchner's house, one at Grandpa & Grandma Mendenhall's house and one at home in Nevada!
Isaac learned very quickly to blow out his candles, it was very fun!

At the Kartchner's house,

Isaac got a lemon merang pie and lots of big, fun outdoor toys!

iPod!

Because Daddy got an iPhone, Isaac got Daddy's iPod, and he is only 2! Mommy downloaded all our Living Scripture movies and a few of Isaac's favorite Pixar movies onto the iPod, and he loves it!

(Daddy was the one who dressed him in all red! Ha Ha! Guess Daddy really wants him to be a University of Utah fan!)

Funny Faces!

Taylor is so funny! He already makes funny faces and noises! He gets excited when we pick him up and then he snorts!

I love to look at my animal friends, frog, monkey and parrot, while I am in my swing!

Mmm! Daddy's fingers are yummy!

Water Blast!

Isaac loved this little water playground! He was a little hesitant at first, but after a few minutes he had a blast running through the water!

Isaac's Best Friend!

Isaac and Rook are best friends! They love to play together and even sometimes get in a little trouble!

They are having fun at the tennis courts while Mom & Dad, Joe & Maridyn (Rook's parents) and Charidee & Alex played tennis!

Taylor's Baby Blessing

Taylor James Mendenhall was blessed by his father, Robert Mendenhall, on August 31, 2008. He had so many family members there for him. Grandpa & Grandma Mendenhall, Jamie Rice and her boys Jake and Max, Cha & Kayson, Kassie, Lori and Emily from the Mendenhall side. From the Kartchner side were Papa & Grandma Kartchner, Aaron, and Jamie & Dane.

These are some notes from the blessing:
- Your name will be Taylor James Mendenhall and the Lord wants to give you a blessing
- You were saved for these times, and the Lord put you on the Earth at this time and in this home
- He will watch over you and help you grow
- You have a keen mind and a strong spirit
- Your testimony will grow in your youth and will continue to grow as you age
- You will excel in your interests
- Use the necessary resources to know truth

- You will be blessed to be baptized, go to the temple, go on a mission, and be married in the temple, like your family now
- You are blessed with these things and any other blessings that the Lord sees fit to give you

Wow! What a wonderful blessing your father and Father in Heaven have given you!

Here are the four grandkids of Grandpa & Grandma Mendenhall! All boys! Kind of funny since they had 6 girls and only 1 boy!

Love the family!

Isaac is such a sweet boy! He loves to hang out with the fam! Taylor is about 1 month old and Isaac takes such good care of him!

We had a lot of family for Taylor's Baby Blessing! It was so much fun!

Taylor loves Grandma Mendenhall!

Isaac loves when Aunt Emily chases him around!

Beautiful Boy!

Taylor is such a beautiful baby boy! We are so happy to have him in our family!

Taylor had a fussy time every night for about the first two or three months, from 8 at night til about midnight! So, we appreciated every sleeping moment!

My Three Boys!

Daddy is so proud of both his boys, Isaac and Taylor! They love their Daddy so much!

Isaac has been so wonderful with Taylor! Isaac takes good care of him and gives him kisses! Mommy, Isaac and Taylor were at a meeting and Taylor was sleeping in the stroller. When he woke up Isaac was the first one to hear Taylor cry, and Isaac made sure that Mommy went to go take care of Taylor!

Isaac also wants to be like Mommy and take pictures of the family!

Grandma Kartchner is so proud of these two boys! She loves them so much, and thinks they are so sweet!

Taylor's Big Day!!!

Taylor James Mendenhall was born on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 12:34 pm. Mom had been feeling fairly strong contractions for about a week, so she had a lot of labor false alarms. But on Tuesday at 7 in the morning the contractions were really painful, so Isaac went to Mom's Visiting Teacher's house, and then Dad took Mom to the hospital. We got to the hospital and Mom had to stop walking because of a contraction. Dad said if we hurried then Mom could go lie in a bed, but Mom told him that she couldn't walk through the contraction. When we got to the room the nurse checked and Mom was 9 cm dilated and 100% effaced. Dad felt bad because he didn't realize Mom was so close to delivering. Isaac's labor was about 19 hours, so we thought we had plenty of time. Luckily Mom still got an epidural, and Taylor was brought into the world half an hour later.

The doctors had to take some special precautions with Taylor because when he was born his arms and legs were a little white. Dad took good care of Taylor while he got some tests done.

Grandma Kartchner came to take care of Isaac while Dad stayed with Mom and Taylor in the hospital. We were all so excited to have Taylor as a new addition to our family.

Isaac got to come to the Hospital and see his new baby brother.

First three months!

Hello all! Well it's about time I got my rear in gear to get you some pictures of Isaac! These are pictures from about 3 months back to day 1! I know there are a lot but I think it is fun! Hope these won't be too embarrassing for him as he get older, but oh well, such is life!
